Marilyn started at Salvage Sisters on May 15, 2014, and has been sharing her creative talents with people for more than 15 years. She specializes in painting and repurposing home décor, furniture, and wall accessories; and creating signs from repurposed items.
As a young child, her dad brought her to auctions with him, and she still loves them today, selling and buying online. She knew she was a ‘junker’ when, “We could no longer get cars in the garage!”
“I love the thrill of the hunt for that perfect piece.” Owning her own store for several years, and now as a vendor, Marilyn’s inspiration is finding that fun, unusual piece and envisioning what she can make of it.
Her hope in sharing her creativity is for someone to love each piece as much as she loved repurposing it. Most of all, she enjoys seeing the reaction when people connect with a piece, and love it so much they’ve got to have it for their own homes.
